Favorite bridge

Sentinel Pine Covered Bridge, White Mountains, NH

Built atop a 90-foot, century-old, giant pine tree that fell in a 1938 hurricane, the Sentinel bridge allows hikers to cross the Flume Gorge 40 feet above the Pemigewasset River. The bridge was built by hand, using axes and wood peg construction.

Local insight

“After a long day on the trails, nothing hits the spot like the sweet potato fries from the Moat Mountain Smokehouse in North Conway. They are unbelievably crispy!”
